Unpaid work in the home and accreditation

The aim of this chapter is to discuss the argument that since many millions of individuals in the home engage in unpaid work that is the same as, or similar to, work undertaken elsewhere for pay, then those individuals' potential to achieve credit on the basis of their current competence towards vocational awards is the same as it is for their counterparts in, or experienced in, paid work.
