A Pan-Islamic Movement - Unity or Fragmentation? Shamram Chubin
Islam is dynamic and growing rapidly, with approximately one billion adherents spread over three continents. In the fluid, shrinking world of few certainties and questionable values, people everywhere are finding more solace in religion. Perhaps nowhere is this more the case, than in the Islamic Middle East. Whether and to what extent a revival of interest in religion will be translated into political unity or cooperation among Moslems in the Middle East, is the issue discussed in this paper.
