Assessment and School Reform: Lessons from 15 Years in the Field

For almost 15 years, the community of El Paso, Texas, has worked intensively to ensure that all students in our community are academically prepared at the highest levels. This chapter will focus on the work of the El Paso Collaborative for Academic Excellence (https://epcae.org/)—what we’ve done and what we’ve tried to do, including some of the lessons learned about that work, particularly related to assessment.
