ABSTRACT

Dewatered sludge is a by-product from rock crushed gravel and/or sand production plant equipped washing process. In recent years, since the tightening of government regulation against the natural gravel pit at river beds, the market needs extend to products contained the less fine particles. Therefore, the amount of the sludge against the production increases recently. At the present, the dewatered sludge is not almost used as an engineering material. The reason is that the quality of the sludge is inferior such as clayey, weak compression strength. In addition, there is shortage of fill site in all over the country. In this study, we investigate for the purpose of effective use of stabilized sludge by using soil stabilizer as a recycled material. As a result of soil tests, the stabilized sludge has the strength enough to use as an engineering material.
