ABSTRACT
This chapter addresses issues of access and inequality with regard to young children and physical activity. In so doing, the chapter explores three areas: (a) the current literature regarding expectations for and access to physical activity in the early years, (b) the outcomes and effects of inequalities with regards to physical education and activity, and (c) suggested recommendations for reducing these inequalities.
