ABSTRACT

Quickly and comprehensively acquiring the information of land damage in mining area is very important for land reclamation. Multi-period RS data were used in this study to obtain the land information of subsidence area with the method of Tasseled-Cap Transformation, then an evaluation model for land damage was set up based on a series of indexes containing the temporal in-formation of land condition. Through comparative analysis, the change patterns of indexes for different land use were found, which can help to tell apart the damage types and the evaluation results were conformed to the reality. This method can promote the monitoring level of the ecological environment in the mining area, and provide technical support for ecological restoration.
