The chapter suggests that China’s individual religious actors are struggling to survive within state power in the process of religious mediatization. It explores how the China Muslim Youth Club, a Beijing-based Hui Muslim group, has survived under state power and made use of an online platform, the China Muslim Youth Net, to promote Islam as a social force forging a harmonious society, which is aligned to the government’s policy of maintaining social stability. The chapter seeks to provide voice to the marginalized Muslims in the new realm of religious mediatization.
