ABSTRACT
The methodology for estimating rider quality in Special Transport Services (STS) using utility modeling has not been discussed frequently in the literature. In this chapter the model used is based on a basic logit formulation and estimated using the ALOGIT program. An outline of an Index of Rider Quality (IRQ) for Swedish STS is provided as a platform for calculations based on data from the Greater Stockholm area in 1997.
