ABSTRACT
The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is a regional group of 16 countries, first founded in 1975. Its mission is to promote economic integration in all fields of economic activity, particularly industry, transport, telecommunications, energy, agriculture, monetary and financial questions. The management structure comprises of an Authority of Heads of State, a Council of Ministers and several Technical Commissions.
