ABSTRACT

This article examines the prospects of enforcing EU sex discrimination law in Scandinavia. In a comparative analysis of US and EU employment discrimination law, Lynn Roseberry determined that the weakest links in the EU's equality law regime are found in the limitations constraining the enforcement of EU equality law and the extent to which the effectiveness of EU equality law depends on action taken by EU Member States and on the national courts, national procedures and national remedies of the Member States (Roseberry, 1999, 265).
