ABSTRACT

The term “trichoscopy” refers to hair and scalp dermoscopy and nowadays is one of the basic methods of diagnosing hair loss.1 Structures that may be visualized by trichoscopy include hair shafts (hair shafts thickness, different types of short hairs, and hair shafts structure abnormalities), hair follicle openings,2 the perifollicular epidermis (color and scaling), and cutaneous microvasculature.3
