ABSTRACT

Erythema multiforme is an acute, self-limited, and sometimes recurring cutaneous/mucocutaneous condition that can be triggered by several factors, mainly including infectious agents (especially herpes simplex 1 and 2 viruses) and medications.1 It is considered to be a type IV hypersensitivity reaction and can be classified into two main clinical variants, i.e., erythema multiforme major and erythema multiforme minor.1
