ABSTRACT

Torney et al. reported the use of gold-based nano-particle as suitable carrier materials for recombinant DNA to target into the plant cells for plant transformation and its genetic modification, which is found to be the recent use of the nano-based composite material in the field of agriculture. Nano-delivery systems are classified into three main groups: Emulsions, vesicular delivery system, and lipid based nano-particles. The two types of emulsions of nano-delivery systems are micro-emulsions (MEs) and nano-emulsions (NEs). MEs are emulsion of water, oil, and amphiphile with size range in the nano-meter (nm) and with diasteriomeric and thermodynamically stable liquid containing particle with diameters of 100 nm and less. NEs droplets measure between 10 and 100 nm in diameter and are typically transparent due to their sizes being on a scale smaller than the ultraviolet-visible light range. Two types of methods are commonly used in NEs synthesis: mechanical or chemical processes.
