ABSTRACT
How long a bridge span can be is always an intrigue question in an engineer’s mind. However, the answer of this question depends on many factors: most notably the strength of available construction materials and local wind conditions.
The purpose of this paper is to determine the factors that may limit the span length of a bridge and to explore the feasibility of a 10,000 m span suspension bridge.
