ABSTRACT

The Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) has been a new orientation for vehicles as it combines the two advantages of low emissions and low fuel consumption. As a key technology for reducing energy consumption, more and more importance has been attached to regenerative braking, which has been extensively utilised by people. This thesis aims to introduce the features of regenerative braking, including structure, function and control strategy. The appraisal and development trend of the regenerative braking system is discussed.
