Introduction

This book is divided into two relatively short sections. The first section addresses the reasons why so many organisations undertake some form of ‘walk and talk’ process. It summarises the most recent thinking and innovation but assumes no prior knowledge and covers first principles. This because experience shows that a lot of people who have undertaken these safety conversations for years haven’t had this explained to them!
