ABSTRACT

Then did the Lord poure out upon me much ofthefpirit of prayer, and praifing, with the knowledg of other things, which he is bringing to pate: In fo much that 1 was much broaken before him,to fee my ovvn unworthynefs, and his goodnefs, a fence of which 1 lay under for fome feafon, not long after 1 had a great fit of ficknefs ; and I was inquiring of G od, what his mind should be in that affliction; he shewed mee, it was becaufe I did not declare to the Church with whom 1 walked; thofe things he had made known unto mee. 1 But benig troubled at my own infufficiency; and they benig unacquaint­ ed with fuch things; .and indeed my felf did queilionatthefirft, whether it were the guift of God or no? ( the guift of finging.) Then the JLord vvas pleafed to fet it upon my heart > that as thole prophefyes were true , and should come to pafs, fo should I know that this w as the true guift ofGod, given in unto mee.
