ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces readers to questions concerning photography and migration, situates those questions in relation to the contemporary global migration crisis and the author’s own local context, and outlines the keywords that structure the chapters. It thus offers a historical, methodological, and historiographical framework for the volume.
