ABSTRACT
This chapter is based on the authors’ journey of starting up a disability advocacy television programme in Zimbabwe entitled Action Power. They talk about the birth of the Zimbabwe Disability Media Trust and how Action Power came into being. Thus, they share their successes, lessons learned, challenges and what lies ahead in their quest to ensure that the rights of disabled people in general, and deaf people in particular, are upheld in Zimbabwe.
