ABSTRACT

In connection with the different failures that occur during the operation of the network and cause more or fewer limitations in water supply, the operator managing proper operation of the network should take a number of steps to reduce the impact of the undesirable event (Iwanek et al. 2014; Iwanek et al. 2016; Zimoch 2012). These steps, however, can be taken only after the development of appropriate failure analysis and on the basis of extensive knowledge of the given water supply network. An additional tool to support CWSS operators may be forecasts of failure frequency of water supply network, through which they can predict the required future state of spare parts in a warehouse and create a general schedule of work for a renovation and repair team (Kleiner & Rajani 2001).
