ABSTRACT
This chapter offers a guide to current key literature pertaining to the provision of distance learning library support in higher education. The literature is grouped into several areas that include but are not limited to services, resources, institutional support, and pedagogical approaches. An overview of professional resources is provided at the end of the chapter to assist in further exploration of key issues in the provision of library support to distance learning communities.
