As mentioned, we distinguish primary from secondary hyperhidrosis. We will not nd any underlying reason in primary, mostly localized (focal) hyperhidrosis (idiopathic primary hyperhidrosis), whereas the secondary form is due to an underlying disease, mainly endocrinological or neurologic diseases (Table 18.1) [4].
