ABSTRACT

During the past two and half decades, interactive whiteboard technologies have become a mainstay in many schools and businesses. While they may have been cutting-edge and somewhat novel when they were introduced, currently they are outdated educational technology and the monies previously invested in them should be re-appropriated elsewhere. This chapter attempts to explore these issues and offer alternatives to interactive whiteboard technologies in the classroom.
