They will allow your sound designers to work efficiently, leading to both a better game and a higher quality of life for those making it. Creating tools to accomplish this requires design for human efficiency, automation of as much as possible, and the ability to receive instantaneous feedback when making creative decisions. These are sometimes mundane tasks in the world of lens-flares, aliens, and explosions, but they make all the difference in the world.
