ABSTRACT

This chapter presents case examples of threat management incidents and provided some guidance on how to identify, assess, respond to, mitigate, and monitor these cases. Threat management procedure should be written so that it applies to the entire company, with requirements that address any variance based on international laws and regulations. Security, human resources, and the employee assistance program met with the co-workers to discuss the company's response to the threats and provide them with resources. Dealing with threat management issues internationally is very challenging for a company. It is important to have resources established strategically across the globe that can support operations and offices in a timely manner. This will help to mitigate risk and keep employees safe while working within the laws and regulations, and understanding the customs, of that country.
