ABSTRACT

This chapter summarizes recent researches on graphene-based optoelectronic devices. Graphene is the simplest and strongest material and it is one of the most promising candidates for the fabrication of high mobility electrodes and transparent semiconductors for the future. This chapter reviews the effects of graphene uses for different applications and devices such as electrodes for light-emitting diodes, electron transport layers for dye-sensitized solar cells and field emitters for field emission devices. Finally, recent and substantial developments of graphene for the use of optoelectronic devices are summarized and the advantages and disadvantages of the different nanostructures are analyzed.
