ABSTRACT

Supplier selection is one of the most popular problems in supply chain management (SCM) in recent years. Most of the studies appeared in past decades have focused on quality, delivery time, purchasing costs, production capacity, technology, reliability of suppliers, etc., but have not given enough importance to green issues. Recently, there is a growing pressure on the managers of global supply chains to be environmentally conscious at their supply chain network. In this chapter, we introduce a comparative analysis of fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) methods in supplier selection problem with green issues, such as carbon emissions, corporate social responsibility, green packaging, green handling, and waste management policy.
