ABSTRACT
Following the phenomenal success of positron emission tomographycomputed tomography (PET-CT), there is a growing interest among researchers, clinicians and manufacturers in combining imaging systems from dierent modalities into single multipurpose hybrid devices. ese hybrid cameras combine functional nuclear imaging with anatomical imaging, providing improved localisation of sources; however, the surgical use of these devices is limited by their large size and immobility.
