ABSTRACT
Vehicular communications will play a more and more significant role helping passengers to commute as in Ro-Ro terminals, turning to be an enabling technology for a set of diversified vertical implementations. The real challenge is therefore that of considering Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) as part of the ICT innovation agenda, integrating ITS services in the control premises of seaports and letting ITS novel solutions contribute to improve the performance indicators of seaports and mitigate the risk level in relevant areas.
