ABSTRACT

Biostimulants are compounds of biological origin that act by increasing natural capabilities of plants to cope with stress (Dąbrowski 2008, Calvo et al. 2014). Some act as elicitors-compounds that are inducers of resistance against pests and damages-and others provide benecial inorganic ingredients and organic materials (e.g., amino acids) (Dąbrowski 2008). Benets of active ingredients contained in natural materials have been known and used in plant cultivation (Khan et al. 2009).
