ABSTRACT
Surgery is commonly indicated in ferrets, especially with their predilection for neoplastic and endocrine conditions. This chapter will endeavour to provide a practical guide to some of the more common ferret surgeries and their indications. Surgical neutering will be included, although with the advent of deslorelin implants this is performed less regularly except in the presence of pathological conditions of the reproductive organs.
