ABSTRACT
SPECT-computed tomography (CT) is a medical imaging technique integrating both SPECT and CT into one unit that generates both functional (SPECT) and anatomical (CT) images in the same imaging session. Coregistered multimodality images allow anatomical referencing and accurate patient-specific attenuation correction, which increase both the sensitivity and the specificity in the diagnosis and improve patient management.
