ABSTRACT

Layers is an analysis method used to determine the flexural capacity of a structural element by dividing the cross-section of the structural elements with varying thickness. Three specimens were made that consisted of one controlling beam (BK), one beam reinforced by 4Ø10 mm steel wire in the tensile area (BP1) and one beam reinforced by 4Ø10mm steel wire in the tensile area and 2P8mm in the compressive area (BP2) with mortar as the concrete blanket. The diameters of wire rope and reinforcing steel used for the reinforcement were 10mm and 8 mm, respectively. Results of the analysis showed that the comparative ratios of flexural capacity for BK, BP1, and BP2 crack condition were 0.53, 0.72 and 0.72 respectively. While the maximum condition 1.28, 0.76, and 0.78, respectively.
