ABSTRACT

The polystyrene concrete panel consist of cement, polystyrene waste, water and wire mesh placed on the top and bottom panel was compressed 2 MPa. Test specimen for three panels with dimension 80 cm length, 30 cm width, 1 cm thick and three panels with 0.5 cm thick. Each panel use water cement factor 0.4. The cement content 250 kg/m3, wire mesh diameter of 0.6mm with grid 6 mm × 6 mm. The test results obtained unit weight for 0.5 cm thickness was 1367 kg/m3 and flexural strength was 2.3 MPa and than for 1 cm thickness was 1081.9 kg/m3 and flexural strength was 0.721 MPa. The crack pattern at the midspan, the first occured curve of wire mesh simultanously with polystyrene concrete and than panel failure. Maksimum deflection for 0.5 cm thickness was 72.83mm and for 1 cm thickness was 15.34 mm.
