ABSTRACT

One of the most serious problems in the cement industry is maintaining the reliability of the cement kiln in order to ensure its continuous operation 24 h a day. We used a tilt sensor to monitor and collect roller inclination angle data and used wavelet transform to extract the characteristic frequency from the original signal that is in accordance with kiln operation cycle. The frequency components reflect the change of the axial force of the roller and indirectly reflect the bending of the kiln cylinder. Cylinder bending can be found and diagnosed in advance by monitoring the change of the inclination angle of rollers.
