ABSTRACT
To solve the problem of organizational-level maintenance of new electronic equipment, the portable maintenance aids is designed and realized. The PMA is integrated with the function of the general test instrument and the IETM. Hardware architecture and software design are described in this paper. The hardware of PMA includes two modules: host computer and external expansion device. ARM 9 series processor is selected for its expanded system structure, low power consumption, and low cost. On the basis of Windows CE. NET 4.2 operating system, application software is implemented. The maintenance information system is implemented by SQL server CE embedded in Visual C++ 4.0 environment. It includes three parts: IETM, equipment management system, and resource information system. The PMA has a good application effect, with advantages of being practical and portable.
