ABSTRACT

A method was developed for the simultaneous determination of three mycotoxins (aletrnariol monomethylether, alternariol, and citrinin) in juice by performing liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. Juice samples were extracted with acetonitrile. The extracts were purified by using the C18 solid phase extraction column and the toxins were separated by performing UPLC, and were quantified with MS/MS. According to the above test conditions, the result shows that, the average recoveries ranged from 78.5% to 97.2% and Relative Standard Deviations (RSDs) ranged between 1.4% and 8.2%, by addition of three mycotoxins standards at three different concentration levels of 10 μg/kg of juice as matrices. This method is quick, simple, accurate, and sensitive, due to which quick confirmation and quantitative analysis of trace quantities of three mycotoxins in juice became possible.
