ABSTRACT

Based on the test data of 29 groups of groundwater samples collected from four water sources in a mining area, the quality of the water source areas of the mining area was evaluated by using the Nemero index method. Evaluation results show that, since 2009, the quality of four sources of groundwater in the mine has been showing an improvement trend. At present, the quality of No. 1, No. 2, and No. 4 water sources belong to grade I and the quality of the No. 3 water source belongs to grade II. The results show that the quality of the water source in this mining area is high. Since 2009, the high fluoride content is the main factor that affects the groundwater quality of four water sources in the mining area. The reasons of excessive fluorine levels in the mining area are climatic factors, formation factors and the influence of the aquifer.
