ABSTRACT
With the design proposal, the essential basis for qualitative high-quality bridges is laid, which are safe, fit for purpose and efficient during the manufacturing and usage, as well as being reversible and recyclable. Derived from multiple requirements technical solutions result into far-reaching consequences, which the planning engineer has to consider within a limited time. The presented expert system supports engineers actively during the setup of optimal designs, by giving advice regarding life-cycle costs, durability and sustainability.
