ABSTRACT
APcon Adviesbureau has carried out an assessment of the railway bridges over the river Waal in het railway line Utrecht-Den Bosch to prolong the lifespan. The remaining, technical and fatigue life were determined, an analysis of the corrosion protection system was made and the necessary maintenance costs calculated. The economic life of the bridging was optimised using the ProRail life cycle analysis system.
