ABSTRACT

The problems associated with smoking have changed fundamentally, because of its changed public health aspect. The better NHS staff understand the practice, the better value their can get from it, for be assured that the health service is likely to continue to be under severe pressure for the rest of NHS staffs life and mine. For non-sporting members, can the author reassure NHS staff that in his experience the most important attribute is a positive attitude to life, which leads on to all sorts of activities and exercise, rather than just the actual exercise. This is a fascinating subject, because when NHS staff look critically at all the information around, nearly all of it is either theory or pure statistics, with very few facts or real accepted understanding of diet. Any parent or grandparent amongst NHS staff will know the fundamental difference between loving and liking someone.
