ABSTRACT
The quality and outcomes framework (QOF) for general practice is voluntary and general practice teams can decide whether to enter and which levels they wish to achieve.1 Payments are linked to achievement of the individual criteria and standards. Each criterion has a number of points allocated to it. The number of points varies according to the amount and difficulty of the work required to achieve success with each criterion.
