ABSTRACT

One of the critical aspects of building a Lean daily management (LDM) system are the most tangible and obvious pieces of the system-the problem-solving boards that proliferate in a healthy and dynamic LDM! You might naturally ask what is different from these boards compared with the litany of white dry-erase or cork boards that litter most hospitals, as well as the “LDM problem-solving sessions” that occur around them in most hospitals, and the difference is very profound.
