ABSTRACT

Criminal offending is not the norm, and transsexualism is rare. The combination of the two, accordingly, is so infrequent that little has been published on the topic, and none of it even attempts statistical validity. In this specialized element of an already specialized field within a medical specialty, any learning must inevitably, perhaps, be experiential. Patient by patient, experience seems to grow (at least, in this author’s case) and one hopes knowledge and judgment correspondingly improve.
