Immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy (IgAN) is the most common chronic glomerulonephritis in childhood, and Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) is the most common vasculitis diagnosed in children and has nephritis as its most frequent chronic manifestation.1,2 Because of shared pathogenic features, IgAN and HSP nephritis (HSPN) are discussed together in this chapter.3
