Pregnancy Complications and Impact on Long-Term Oncological Morbidity of the Mother

In recent years there has been growing interest based on accumulating evidence concerning a link between common pregnancy complications and future maternal cardiovascular, renal, ophthalmic, and other morbidities [1-3] (Figure 4.1). Studies provide evidence to support the hypothesis that pregnancy can be considered a window of opportunity in order to better evaluate a woman’ s future lifetime risk of certain morbidities.
