ABSTRACT
A discussion of leader’s role in tourism and hospitality sector remains scarce compared to other business sectors. This article discusses some characteristics of two notable leaders in airline sector, Richard Branson and Tony Fernandes. Interview transcripts from 2007 to 2014 from both of the leaders were extracted and content analyzed. This paper concludes that those who are characterized as self-oriented and narcissist leaders are passionate and visionary leaders. Being narcissist is also means that they have confidence in themselves and often refuse to listen to negative and discouraging comments from other. They were never-say-never when they have a dream to pursue.
