ABSTRACT

This chapter provides an overview of research and practical works carried out as related to slope safety preparedness in Thailand. Singapore Land Authority (SLA) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Law who manages some 14.000 hectares of State land and about 5,000 State buildings in Singapore. SLA is committed in addressing the effects of climate change on slope safety in Singapore by combining two software tools and Analytical Hierarchy Process, to create a Slope Hazard Analysis and Repository System. SLA is a statutory board under the Ministry of Law, focusing on land resource optimization. SLA manages some 14.000 hectares of State land and about 5,000 State buildings. SLA is one of many governmental agencies involved, whom collectively ensure Singapore remains resilient to the adverse effects of climate change. Climate change results in an increase in the global temperature including the tropical region such as Southeast Asia.
