ABSTRACT
The competitiveness of nations in high performance sports (HPS), which has been studied through comparative research on sport policies, has also been a relevant issue in sport sciences in the international field (De Bosscher et al., 2003, 2008, 2015; Digel, 2002; Houlihan and Green, 2008). However, until a few years ago, there was no participation of Brazilian research groups in any international comparative study, focused on HPS policies.
