ABSTRACT
Soon after the 9/11, the US led a global campaign against terrorism and especially against the al-Qaeda network with its attack on Afghanistan. Although al-Qaeda appears to have been disrupted, terrorist goals have increasingly become legitimate and popular in the perceptions of most people in West Asia.
